IMAGE FRONTIERS by David Rosen 📸

Photography has been part of my life since I was 14 — this featured image captures that journey across decades, from my first camera to IMAGE FRONTIERS today.
After decades as a business executive, I’m now on sabbatical and extending more of my life into street photography along with urban, landscapes, and fine-art imagery. Boston street photography is my foundation, but my lens travels further — exploring city streets, rural fields, and waterways around the world. I capture not just images, but stories: moments of chaos and calm, humor and beauty, that unfold when we pay close attention.
IMAGE FRONTIERS is both a publication and a philosophy. For me, photography is a way of pressing me and you, my readers, into unexplored frontiers — of images, creativity, and personal boundaries — as I expand my body of work. This is a journey of discovery, without business metrics: an evolving, multi-directional practice that values curiosity over certainty, personal learning and growth over goals.
Each week, I share:
New street, urban, travel, and landscape photographs from Boston and beyond
Story-driven reflections and lessons in visual storytelling from the field
Practical techniques in shooting, editing, and digital processing
Insights into printing and presenting photographs as fine-art photography
Honest accounts of mistakes, breakthroughs, and creative exploration
Collaboration is central to IMAGE FRONTIERS. I frequently learn and work alongside others in workshops, clubs, and communities — and invite readers into the process. This space is part diary, part workshop, part shared conversation: a place where we can discover together.
At its core, IMAGE FRONTIERS is about articulating what I am doing and pushing beyond what is known — using photography to expand vision, creativity, and personal expression.
The only goal I have with photography is to:
create and produce images that spark a visceral reaction to my work, whether good, bad, or indifferent, or simply provide a moment to pause and reflect.
If you value authentic storytelling, experimentation, and learning in public, you’re in the right place. Every subscription or share helps expand this journey and opens new photographic frontiers.
