What started as a simple prompt turned into a working AI-built photography event manager and calendar—combining creativity, workflow design, and automation for photographers
I think it's funny as in stead of A.I being used for my photography I would rather it be able to help with my day job to free me up more for photography and family, I personally love the taking, editing and processing of my images but I also like to put the A.I through its paces and seeing wheather it can keep up with my imagination.
Interesting text and topic David.I started to use Ai for analyzing colors in my photos and help during edit process.I don t always agree with recommendations I m getting but I learned a lot about colours from explanations. It s a game changer for me.Great photos... specially Man Emerging from Alley .Well done!
Susanne, as a tech guy for most of my life, this evolution with AI is blowing me away, almost as much as landing on the moon did to me. More to come. Thank you for your support.
Great stuff, David. Like you I have a background in business and software engineering and am fascinated by how AI can assist us beyond just photo editing. I’m yet to try and build an app with it but this has given me the nudge to give it a try. Great photos too by the way 👍🏻
You are right.. for now. I will work on the next version which I will simply scrape the calendar details and information and have it parse the data automatically from the copy/pasted text. In a later release, I expect we can even have it check the websites and add automatically or allow me to select the ones I want to enter-compete or particpate in. I need to learn more about agentic modes, where I think it will do that for me and show me a short list and sign in as me, but I am not quite ready to give it my credentials and ask it to act on my behalf, but that may be the ultimate answer. 🥸

It’s a good tool with a big future to help.

This was an interesting read, David! AI is amazing, yet a bit scary, too! Kudos to you for being so busy on so many levels!

Interesting and well balanced article on the uses of A.I as a photographer. I've only just started to delve myself and tumbling down the rabbit hole..

Thank you. Coming from you, it’s greatly appreciated. Be glad to chat if you want. And thank you for sharing my post….
Always happy to chat, especially when it comes to photography and technology. Let’s make that happen 👍🏻
Just sent a note/direct message.
Perfect. Thanks, David.
very cool you built that!!
It was completed and working version 1 in under 30 minutes. Needs more iterations but good start and it exports ics files to my calendar.
Super street photos. Well done. And that's great about AI....but i assume you have to input all the deadlines first...but still!
Short Answer... The opportunities are endless ♾️
